Room linear robot
igus offers robot gantries as surface, line and room linear robots for a wide range of tasks. igus gantries contain pre-configured Apiro linear modules and linear axes with igus stepper motors as well as all the components required for self-assembly.
Application examples
Typical applications for our room linear robots are pick & place, conveyor belt picking and stacking tasks in three-dimensional space. The room linear robot usually provides the platform on which our customers build their application. In combination with a gripper or suction cup, pick tasks can be implemented very quickly.
Control system
The igus Robot Control enables simple and intuitive robot control and programming, making it easy to get started with automation. The modular design allows different igus kinematics, such as delta robots, to be controlled. The gantry robot can be controlled directly with all its advantages by our igus® Robot Control.
The free and licence-free igus Robot Control software is integrated into the control system and therefore uses a uniform operating concept and consistent communication services for many components of a system. This means less project planning effort and faster commissioning.
The igus Robot Control is not part of the part and can be purchased from us as an option. A master control system is not necessary.
If you want to use your own (robot) control system, that is no problem either.
Alternatively, it is also possible to operate each axis individually with a control system. For example, with our igus® D1 dryve motor control system. With this control architecture, you need one motor control system per linear axis or motor and an additional master control system that coordinates the movement. You will then also have to program the inverse kinematics for the delta robot yourself in your development environment.
The motor control systems are not part of the part and can be purchased from us as an option. A master control system is currently not offered by igus.
Optional accessories
Initiators, connection cable, energy chain® and control system are available upon request.
Further information
The maximum payload is up to 1.5 kg. This places a heavy load on the motor of the Z-axis and increases wear. If you are unsure whether you can use the product as desired, please contact us. With a technical design, we can offer you different sizes with strokes of up to 625 mm and a load capacity of 1.5 kg. Please feel free to contact us about this.
