The head office of igus is located in Cologne, Germany

Since its foundation in 1964, igus GmbH has always been based in the Cologne area. Starting out from the double garage in Cologne-Mülheim, the company subsequently relocated to Bergisch Gladbach in 1977 and finally to its current head office in Cologne-Lind in 1994.

The flexible igus factory

Prior to the move to the current location of the company headquarters, a new factory had to be built. One requirement for this was that it should be as flexible as possible to ensure future growth and possible changes. igus Founder Günter Blase commissioned the well-known British architect Nicholas Grimshaw with the project.
